Global urbanization is an ongoing megatrend. Cities are places that offer both opportunities and challenges for human health, and their dynamic development makes them "spaces of opportunity" for different futures. "City diagnoses" represent a tool to help identify a city’s health opportunities and challenges, develop a shared vision of the future for the local context, and create the basis for health-promoting activities for a healthy future of cities.
We are thrilled to announce the virtual Hub Community event series on "City Diagnoses", a new initiative by our Hub Community on Global Urban Health. The Community invites you to join 12 engaging brown bag lectures every Wednesday at 12pm from
8 May 2024 – 24 July 2024
Bringing together experts, practitioners, and stakeholders from various sectors, the sessions will explore the concept of city diagnoses with the objective to:
- Deepen the work of the Hub Community on cities as opportunity spaces for human health (see Policy Brief on Global Urban Health)
- Develop specific indicators for identifying cities' most critical problems and priorities for actions
- Collect expertise as the basis for the Community's next policy brief.
Please register for the event by completing the form below.
Once you are registered for the series, you will receive a confirmation email as well as weekly invitations for each session, including the session title and access information. Please note that most sessions will take place in German.
