Extended Coordination Meeting on Donation Campaign for Ukrainian Energy Sector

Background

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, energy infrastructure has been a main target for Russian attacks. These attacks resulted in extensive damage across the country which caused disruptions in gas and heating networks, as well as electricity supplies. With the onset of winter and freezing temperatures, ensuring a continuous supply of energy becomes crucial.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy (MinEnergo) has sent a request for help to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). Technical goods are strongly needed, for the repair and maintenance of electricity and gas networks and other energy infrastructure in Ukraine, which was damaged or destroyed by the war. BMWK encourages associations and companies in the German energy industry to consider the request for assistance and to contribute with donations of technical goods. The Secretariat of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership supports the coordination and management of these donations on behalf of BMWK.

Therefore, we would like to invite you to our upcoming Extended Coordination Meeting on the Donation Campaign for the Ukrainian Energy Sector on 1 December 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (CET).

This online event is part of a monthly coordination call series organized by the Secretariat in collaboration with German associations and companies. Representatives of German associations and companies will show how companies can provide support and present their practical experience with the donation process.
