Global Health Talk 2024

 

We are delighted to invite you to this year’s Global Health Talk on 5 – 6 December 2024 at the Conference Center Mauerstraße 27 in Berlin.

** Please note: THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT ONLY**

Our annual flagship event will bring together leading Global Health experts from different stakeholder groups and high-level representatives from the German Federal Government. The event is a great opportunity for interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral exchange and to engage in lively discussions around Global Health.

5 December 2024  | 9:00 am – 8:00 pm (CET) 

Official opening ceremony with Federal Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach

Followed by three Panel Discussions on:

  • Global Health in Conflict Settings  introduced by a key note by Dr. Ariane Hildebrandt, Director-General of the Department for global health, equality of opportunity, digital technologies and food security at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
  • Climate Change and Health: Focusing on Adaptation  
  • European Cooperation in Global Health 

We will conclude the first day of the conference with an evening reception. 

6 December 2024 | 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (CET) 

Dialogue with the Federal Ministry of Health on the following topics:

  • Non-Communicable Diseases – The quiet crisis demanding global attention: UN High-level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of NCDs
  • From Reflections to Projections: Learnings from 2024 to shape Global Health in 2025

A light lunch will provide another opportunity to meet inspiring peers and new Global Health companions and to close this year’s Global Health Talk.
