- What are current trends and how is their outlook?
OUTLINE:
Wind power is one of the most important renewable energy sources and currently already constitutes about 25% of the German electricity consumption. However, especially in Germany, but also across the globe public support for wind energy projects is often lacking.
Initiatives, such as collectively organised and maintained energy projects by citizens, have the potential to improve social and public support for wind energy and create ownership among
citizens.
How can we involve citizens more in wind energy projects? How can this drive technological innovation and new solutions? What financial support is needed for such projects to thrive? Why is it crucial to involve women on both sides for a success of wind energy and how can this be achieved?
