An opportunity for you to report on the global energy transition!

For several years, the Federal Foreign Office, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE e.V.) have been inviting international journalists to report on the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD). Through the BETD Media Fellowship, young journalists from around the world have the chance to come to Berlin to gain exclusive access to the conference, engage with high-level stakeholders from science, politics, industry, and civil society, and connect with other BETD Media Fellows.

We invite you to be part of BETD 2025 and report on the discussions and innovative energy solutions. We offer you the unique opportunity to join us in Berlin and look behind the scenes of the global energy transition. The program includes:

Travel to & accommodation in Berlin for BETD.25 and Berlin Energy Week
A virtual pre-meeting with expert input
Active participation in the BETD.25
Press opportunities with high-level speakers, government representatives & other VIPs
Access to BETD side events, including guided tours, receptions, business-to-government formats, and workshops
A behind-the-scenes look at the global energy transition
Networking and community-building with current BETD Media Fellows, alumni and international journalism networks
A platform to share your articles about BETD.25
