Accelerating Regional Action on Green Hydrogen 

The first regional edition of the Green Hydrogen Symposium will bring together 250 key stakeholders from Eastern Africa, Germany, and beyond. Hosted by the Government of Kenya in collaboration with the Government of Germany and implemented by GIZ, the event will foster dialogue and action to accelerate the development of green hydrogen industries across the region. The East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Efficiency (EACREEE) will facilitate regional outreach as a key partner. 

Who should attend:

Government representatives, project developers, technology providers, financiers, offtakers, development partners, academia, civil society, and youth working in the green hydrogen space.

What to expect:

  • High-level keynotes and ministerial panels
  • Thematic discussions on policy, infrastructure, financing, and industry applications
  • Pre-event roundtables (13 May)
  • Networking cocktail (14 May evening)
  • Youth and Women in Green Hydrogen events
  • Breakout sessions on non-fossil fertilizers, e-fuels, industrialization, skills development, just transition and climate targets
